Blues lose at home for the first time in the North West Counties...
Rylands suffered a first home defeat in the North West Counties on Saturday after a second half collapse led to Cheadle Town leaving Gorsey Lane with the three points, defeating the blues 3-1.
The hosts started well, creating an early opportunity down the left hand side after just three minutes but Morrison was on hand to deny in the Cheadle Town goal.
The visitors caused a scare on thirteen minutes when Brown latched on to a diagonal ball in behind the Rylands back line, but the forward slipped at the vital moment and Conor Yarwood was on hand to scoop up the ball.
The deadlock was broken in the thirty-ninth minute when the blues were awarded a penalty after Stuart Wellstead was brought down in the box. The Player / Joint-Manager picked himself up and converted the spot-kick in to the bottom right hand corner, leaving Morrison with no chance.

The hosts then controlled the game for the remainder of the half, without any further opportunities of note before the referee brought the first period to an end.

The visitors made an instant improvement at the start of the second half, creating an early opportunity in the fiftieth minute when finding a way in behind the left hand side but Yarwood intercepted and cleared the danger.
The scores were level five minutes later however when a cross from the right hand side was met and headed in by by Callum Knight at the back post.
Two minutes later, the visitors were awarded a penalty of their own after Yarwood brought down the striker in the box. Joe Neild blasted it past the Rylands 'keeper to give the visitors a lead.
Just after the hour mark, things were made even worse for Rylands when Webster headed a third after another cross from the right hand side.
The blues were down, but not out and looked to respond, but couldn't create a clear cut chance to pull a goal back, with the closest opportunity coming from a corner in the 75th minute when Morrison saved from a goal bound header.
Yarwood was forced in to two smart stops in the last ten minutes to keep the score at 3-1 before a miserable half for the blues was brought to an end.

"The first half was very close and competitive with both sides showing glimpses of quality in possession. I thought we were marginally the better side and created the better chances, just about deserving to lead at the interval. The second half was completely unacceptable from our point of view with poor performances all over the pitch. We switched off and conceded three goals in the space of six minutes and were way below the standards that we have set ourselves so far this season. Well done to Cheadle Town who battled really well in the first half, played some great stuff in the second and thoroughly deserved the three points. We look forward to a quick turn around and getting back on the pitch on Monday where we need to bounce back."
