Rylands' FA Vase run continued on Saturday with a 4-2 victory against Doncaster based, Rossington Main at Gorsey Lane, largely thanks to a Jay White hat-trick.
As has been a trend this season, the match started quickly and there was an early goal, this time to the visitors who took the lead in the fifth minute through Jordan Buckman who fired low in to the bottom right corner past Callum Spencer, making his second appearance in the Rylands goal.
The scores were level in the twelth minute when White turned his defender inside the box and fired home from close range.
Just two minutes later teh blues were awarded a penalty after Ste Wolhuter was brought down inside the area after a surging run from the left hand side. The kick was well dispatched by Andy Scarisbrick.

The contest settled with little to report until the thirty-fourth minute when the blues were reduced to ten men after Tom McNamara was sent off for a late tackle in the middle of the park.
Just a minute later, the blues took the lead through White after hitting on the counter attack.
HALF TIME - Rylands 3 v 2 Rossington Main
The second half started a little slowly, with the first opportunity not coming until the sixty-fourth minute when Spencer saved well to deny Thwaites, before the blues were let off four minutes later when Oliver headed wide from close range at the near post.
The visitors were putting Rylands under pressure, and came close again in the seventy-first minute when Foltyn-Brown's header hit the inside of the post and squirmed away to safety.
The blues stood firm as Rossington continued to throw everything at them and in stoppage time the game was sealed when White added a fourth, completing his hat-trick to end a good cup tie and see Rylands through to the First Round proper which will take place on Saturday 12th October..

"Overall I’m pleased with today’s result. We didn’t play anywhere near what we’re capable of but going down to 10-men in the first 30 minutes made things difficult. I can’t fault the work rate and application of the lads. They worked so hard for each other and we were still the better side with 10-men. The main thing in any cup game is that you’re in the hat for the next round and we achieved that today."
